What are API charges?

The metrics include: Charges for every single request or call made to the API. Suppose per API call is charged $0.10. If a user makes five calls, the total charge is $0.50. This metric has no hidden costs and is very straightforward, making it easy to implement. API charges are determined by the number of elements in a request or a response.

How is the API Gateway charged?

API Gateway is charged by the number of calls to your API. Each API call processed by API Gateway is reported as a tracked operation by the Service Control API and is listed as a line item for Service Control on your bill. The price for API Gateway depends on the number of calls to your API, as described in the following table:

Are there fees for Private APIs?

There are no minimum fees or upfront commitments. For HTTP APIs and REST APIs, you pay only for the API calls you receive and the amount of data transferred out. There are no data transfer out charges for Private APIs. However, AWS PrivateLink charges apply when using Private APIs in API Gateway.
